Lolita 52 Challenge - Week #5

WEEK #5-  My wardrobe turnover

Since I started wearing lolita, 2005/2006 my wardrobe changed so much.
I remember my first lolita piece was an oldschool BTSSB pink skirt with white lace.

This one, if I am not wrong
My wardrobe was sweet. OK, ITA SWEET lol
Then, on 2007 I went to Paris and bought the "Baby's longest name" skirt in blue

With time, I realized sweet wasn't my thing and started Gothic, but still had sweet pieces.
Only in 2008 I started buying classic pieces and saw Gothic and Classic styles suited me better. Therefore, I started this kind of wardrobe.
Now I am still adept of both styles, but I may say more Classic now. All my gothic outfits have classic accents.

I also could see what flattered me the most, like corset skirt. Regular waist look weird on me, Imperial waist too, only if they have waist ties to turn it tighter, will look better. Ivory/white dresses don't look good on me unless printed or if  I add other colors. And go on...

Lolita 52 challenge-Week 3

WEEK #3- What my own Lolita lifestyle is like

Some people are picking random numbers but I like to follow the order (otherwise I would be lost, I am sure...)

What my own lolita lifestyle is like?
Actually, I don't follow all the rules, only the basic ones and allow myself to mix and play with the style and I try to create my own classic or gothic lolita look. Sometimes more OTT, sometimes more toned down. Sometimes more funny or following the "lets match".
I also don't wear lolita everyday. For me, wear lolita has lots of stuff involved like meeting my friends, going out to eat something sweet or at a fancy place, go to the museum or play, visit a nice place... Lolita for me is TO GET DRESSED and be "overdressed" for the eyes of the viewers. That's because I don'e see myself wearing casual. I don't like how it looks on me. I prefer being over dressed since my daily clothes are jeans or punk/rock/gothic sometimes other harajuku's streetstyles inspired outfits.

(BOOK) Paris, my sweet

Yesterday I bought this book: "Paris, my sweet".
Is a true story about a newspaper editor, who lived in NY and used to write about chocolates and pastries of her city. She got an invitation from Louis Vuitton Office to work in Paris, for a year. Then she starts writing about her life and patisseries.
I am reading chapter 2 at the moment, but this far, I am loving the book! Talks about two of my favorite cities, New York and Paris. MUST LOVE!

~ The nutcraker ballet ~

Pix (www.fofismos.blogspot.com), her cousin and I went (FINALLY) watch "The Nutcracker" Ballet at the very famous Theatro Municipal! We saw the last presentation. I remember watching the cartoons but never the ballet and was a wish I had that came true. It's really beautiful o_o

This is the Theater front.

I wore the "Amour d'amants" print with a shawl cause the day was hot (wait...I am with tights! nevermind...) but inside the Theater could be a bit cold and tried something XIX century with the shawl...

❤ Amour d'amants ❤

What I wore:

Jsk:Juliette et Justine
Shawl and belt:Zara
Tights:Teja Jamilla
Bag:Vivienne Westwood
Hat:Stone Flower

Accessories: Juicy couture, offbrand and F21

We arrived early, good cause we had time to take LOTS OF PICS! \o/

This wig quality is great! Looks real hair :D

Snob face...

They still had a Christmas Tree! It had deers decoration!!

Kiss the statue! :3

The amazing staircase

And the ballet stage

I MUST THANKS PIX A LOT FOR THE GREAT DAY! Cause on the same day, a few hours before I left home, my grandma had another stroke and went to the hospital. My parents told me to go have fun that everything was gonna be ok. Pix and her cousin were cheering me up all the time. Thanks <3 I love you Pix!

❤Thanks for reading! Have a nice week!❤

~ 2013 celebration ~

Hi guys!
How was your celebration?
Mine was normal...
My family went out to have dinner, then we got back home and watched the fireworks on TV, cause we were too tired to go to Lagoa. Better stay at home, watch the Copacabana fireworks from TV, without stress and drinking a good Chandon ^-^

Nails matching my McQueen ring <3

Shrimp pasta

and for desert, a yummy profiterole!

Remember that one of my list topics was to keep a diary? Gonna use this cute notebook, my friend Jun gave me, as diary! Gonna star today! \o/
